Our Aim

Our aim is to reduce late identification of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and to improve access to appropriate treatment programs with the aim of improving developmental outcomes such as language, social cognitive, motor skills and ensuring that youths and families are empowered with knowledge and economic skills for their participation.

Caleb Centre for Children with Autism (CCCA) is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD)-focused, child-centred organisation with integrated adolescent and youth programs-based non-profit-making organisations that were legally registered in accordance with the provisions of the Societies Act. Cap 119 of the Laws of Zambia on 4th August, 2016, with registration number ORS 102/33/12918, to provide specialised services in Zambia. The organisation has centre-based and community-based programs. The centre has a specialised school and a boarding facility that houses individuals with ASD. The centre has specialised teachers, therapists, and support staff and currently has a total
number of 82 children and is expected to grow the number to 200 by the end of 2024.In an effort to provide holistic services to the targeted beneficiaries, Caleb Centre implements its programs under the following thematic areas: education, health, child safeguarding, economic empowerment and livelihood, governance and advocacy, and organisation development and other outreach programs.

Our mission is dedicated to promoting solutions based on early assessment, diagnostic, and interventional services across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of children or individuals with autism and their families through advocacy, support and advancing research for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions in Zambia.
